Peter Marino is the name when we have fashion and architecture in the same sentence. One of the most recognized architects, he is responsible for most of the luxury projects of haute couture stores like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès among others.

After that, he received the invitation to design the first Chanel store in Shanghai, China. However, as he exceeded expectations, and was invited to design the Paris Chanel store, that was the head offic, so it has to be the highlight among the others. Therefore, details and sophistication were not spared, the French store was even entitled to hand embroidered pearl curtains.

The designer got into the European artistic and aristocratic milieu by Andy Warhol influence, one of the leading names in pop art in the 1970s. His first major project was Warhol’s townhouse in NYC, Yves’ apartment. St. Laurent.

Martyn Lawrence Bullard is a well known interior designer in the celebrities’ world, because of his sense of décor in famous mansions. Eccentricity is one of his strengths. That’s why he has a strong clientele like famous singers like Elton John, Cher and Christina Aguilera and successful actors like Eva Mendes, Edward Norton and Ellen Pompeo, the couple Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, and stylist Tommy Hilfiger, among others.

CAREER START:

Martyn started his career by collecting and reselling design objects when he was just a teenager, that’s how he learned to identify decorator items that were valuable or well-designed. Later he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. And in this meantime, Bullard was cast in several roles, including a part as Eartha Kitt’s boy toy in Ed Wood’s final film and I Woke Up Early The Day I Died. One of the film’s producers visited Martyn’s house, and, impressed by its decor, invited Bullard to decorate his office.

From there, Bullard was hired to decorate the office and home of Liz Heller, and was eventually asked to help create Heller’s wedding to producer John Bard Manulis. And after these projects he received other interior design orders to decorate celebrity residences, when he really started working in this area.

Since then, he become one of the most sought-after interior designer constantly highlighted. As a result he had his name listed on List A of Elle Decor, AD100.
